Description
KPV is the tripeptide Lys-Pro-Val, the C-terminal fragment (amino acids 11–13) of alpha-melanocyte-stimulating hormone (α-MSH). It is studied in laboratory and preclinical models of inflammatory signaling, including NF-κB pathway activity and epithelial and intestinal inflammation models.
KPV Research Details
KPV keeps the inflammatory-signaling activity associated with the α-MSH C-terminus in experimental systems, without the pigment-related activity of the full hormone. Research covers cytokine signaling, NF-κB modulation, PepT1 peptide transport, and colitis and skin-inflammation models.
